About ASSP

Agencies Supporting Southwark Programme (ASSP) is a unique resource that supports education providers gain access to comprehensive information about a range of agencies available to support the teaching of personal, social, health and economic education (PSHEE) and citizenshsip. 

The site provides a search facility for schools to match their needs with external agencies that compliment and support their programmes. Schools can also search the off site provision catagory for infomation on work based learning, supplementary schools and education other than at school providers.


Why is there a need for ASSP?

The purpose of bringing together external agencies under the umbrella of ASSP is to provide an integrated and high quality network and support for schools, and in turn help develop more effective partnership links for agencies working within schools.

What does ASSP do?

ASSP helps to facilitate the work of external agencies in schools, as well as organising networking  and training events, also providing an information website  to help support all education providers select high quality external support.

Who does ASSP work with?

ASSP works with school communities and a wide range of external agencies that include theatre and music groups, crime reduction agencies, school beat police officers, drugs and alcohol advice groups, and organisations that promote citizenship.  ASSP is guided by the ethos and aims of the Southwark Children and Young People Plan, the five outcomes of Every Child Matters and the Enchaned  Healthy Schools standards.

How can agencies register with ASSP?

Agencies who wish to register with ASSP can do so by downloading the registration form (click here) and once completed the form can be emailed or posted back to ASSP. The completed form will be circulated to the ASSP steering group and if the requirements are met your information will be entered on the web site.
